How to find your lucky number using numerology.jpg

In numerology, lucky numbers are determined by using a person's date of birth and the tallying the numbers assigned to various alphabets comprising his or her name. Numerologists insist that numbers in our lives can define who we are and what we do. There are a few simple calculations by which the five core numbers that offer insight into your own life can be derived.

The life path number is similar to a sun sign. It reveals the purpose of someone's life, including strengths, weaknesses, talents and ambitions. This life path number also exposes the tone of experiences someone has, and why events occur in past, present and future.

Numerologist Kanan Chaudhry explains numerology and its impact on any person's life.

Numerology is a belief system that assigns a certain numerical value to each letter of the alphabet. By calculating the numerical value of a person's name or birthdate, numerologists believe they can determine that person's lucky number, which can have special significance in their life.

Here's how to find your lucky number using numerology:

  1. Write out your full name as it appears on your birth certificate. Write out the first, middle (if you have one), and last name.
  2. Under each letter, write the corresponding number using the following chart:
    1. A, J, S = 1
    2. B, K, T = 2
    3. C, L, U = 3
    4. D, M, V = 4
    5. E, N, W = 5
    6. F, O, X = 6
    7. G, P, Y = 7
    8. H, Q, Z = 8
    9. I, R = 9
  3. Add up the numerical values of all the letters in your name.
  4. Reduce the sum to a single digit by adding the individual digits together. For example, if your sum is 23, add 2+3 to get 5.
  5. Your lucky number is the single digit you arrived at in step 4.
If you have a middle name, you can also calculate your lucky number using just your first and last names, or using your birthdate. However, the method for calculating your lucky number using your birthdate is slightly different, and involves adding up the digits in your birthdate and reducing them to a single digit.
